Author responsibilities. General quality standards
At the time of manuscript submission, the author/authors guarantee for the technical, scientific, and original character of the article.
The research contained within the manuscript must be objective, based on correctly presented and accurate data, sufficiently and accurately detailed and referenced.
Originality and plagiarism. Multiple publications
The author/authors may send in for submission only original scientific manuscripts, ensuring that all contributions and works of other authors are exactly and appropriately cited. Should the author include in the text of the article additional materials – such as photographs, illustrations, etc. – then they are responsible for obtaining the written permission to use them from their copyright holders.
Should the research already have been published in another language, or in another venue, then the author must provide exact details concerning this issue.
Other responsibilities
Should the manuscript be accepted for publication, the author/authors are required to fill out, sign, and send to the correspondence address of the Romanian Journal of Population Studies an agreement attesting to the scientific quality of the submission and the attribution of intellectual property.
Contributors to the manuscript
If the manuscript is the result of several individuals’ research, then their contribution should be explicitly mentioned, and the individuals themselves noted as co-authors. The main author should ensure that all those who contributed to the research are mentioned as co-authors, and that they have expressed their agreement to publish the final version of the manuscript.
Acknowledgements
It is recommended that the author/authors acknowledge the financing authority that supported the conducting of the research.
